All UK medical schools require candidates to sit the UCAT before their applications can be considered. Performance in these tests is critical for their prospect to study medicine in the UK. The UCAT is a computer-based test that must be sat between July and September or early October in the year before UCAS applications are submitted. The test is conducted at specialist test centres (one of which is in Athens). The test can only be taken once so candidates must ensure they are well prepared before they sit the test to maximise their chances of admission. Our preparatory programme ensures that candidates maximise their score by teaching them quick reading skills, practical numerical tricks that increase computation speed, analytical to solve puzzles and syllogisms as well as teaching strategies to make the best use of time. This will improve a candidate's UCAT score and hence their chances of admission to medical school. For more information and a sample of the test visit the UCAT website.
Foundation College has been offering a UCAT preparatory programme since 2012 and we are proud to report that our students have secured some very enviable scores over the years. In 2025 our course will run over 5 weeks from 24 June to 24 July with teaching done both on zoom and by physical classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (4 - 8 pm) at the Kifissia branch. The tuition fee for this course is 1300€. We only teach one cohort of students for each of the UCAT course so early application is recommended. Students are admitted on a first-come first-served basis. Students who take our UCAT course can also register to participate in the interview preparation training programme that Foundation College offers to its students. The course is delivered by psychologist, Theofano Megalokonomou, who has many years of experience in this kind of work and a very high success rate.
