FOUNDATION COLLEGE PRIZES 2015-17

We are a small college with fewer than 100 students studying with us each year, yet our students achieve outstanding results in their A-levels. In just three years our students achieved two world distinctions and five country distinctions. Scoring the top grades in the world in Mathematics and in Further Mathematics while competing with thousands of highly motivated Asian students from countries with a long tradition in A-levels deserves a special mention. These achievements are primarily the outcome of very capable and motivated students but also says a lot about the quality of our teaching and out preparation for exams.

HIGHEST in the WORLD

Ioannis Kalamaras completed three demanding A-levels (Mathematics A*, Economics A and Further Mathematics A*) with us in just one year in 2014-15 while also attending the final year at Lykeion. He achieved the highest grade in the World in International A-level Mathematics in 2015.

HIGHEST in the WORLD

Manolis Angelidakis studied four A-levels with us over two years 2015-16 (Biology A*, Chemistry A*) and 2016-17 (Mathematics A*, Physics A* and Further Mathematics A*) while also attending the final years of the Greek Lykeion. He achieved the highest grade in the World in Further Mathematics in 2017.

HIGHEST in GREECE

Amalia Choupi studied three A-levels with us over two years  2015-16 (Mathematics A*) and 2016-17 (Chemistry A*, Biology A*) while also attending the Greek Lykeion. She achieved the highest grade in Chemistry A-level in Greece and also the highest grade in Greece in Biology A-level in the same year (2017)

HIGHEST in GREECE

This is Amalia's second outstanding award achieved in the same year. Amalia achieved the highest grades in Greece in both Chemistry and Biology A-levels that she completed in just one year in 2016-17. Expectedly she got A* in both subjects.

HIGHEST in GREECE

Manolis also achieved the highest grade in A-level Physics in Greece along his top grade in Further Mathematics in the world in the same year (2017). In that year Manolis also studied a third A-level (Mathematics) while also being at Greek school. He achieved A* in all these subjects.

FOUNDATION COLLEGE PRIZES 2018

HIGHEST in GREECE

Eleanna Mantzourani won the prize for International A-level Economics by achieving a high A* which was the highest grade in this subject in Greece in 2018. Eleanna remarkable record of achievement included four A-levels starting with Mathematics where she achieved an A* in just one year while she was in her 1st Lykeion year.

HIGHEST in GREECE

Vassilis Psomas was awarded the prize for the highest grade in A-level Greek in Greece in 2018. What makes Vassilis' achievement rather outstanding is that he achieved it by own study (we do not teach A-level Greek but supply study notes to our students) at the age of 17.
