I completed three A-levels at Foundation College. What I found extremely beneficial-was that all courses are modular. This allowed for a great deal of flexibility; for example, I completed some courses in one year while spreading another over two. Class times were relatively short, which made it easier to balance both A-levels and school. Despite this, the teaching was highly effective. The teachers made excellent use of the time available and taught in an engaging and memorable way. Everyone was always approachable, happy to answer questions, and willing to offer personal support, in and outside of class, even on weekends and holidays. Although A-levels ultimately were not required for my university admission, as I chose to study in the Netherlands, they were still extremely valuable. They introduced me to a more practical and independent way of learning, something I had not experienced before in the Greek educational system. Foundation College was the ideal hub for such an initiation.

Studying at Foundation College was a truly meaningful experience for me. The supportive atmosphere, dedicated teachers, and strong sense of community helped me grow academically while also building confidence in myself. What stood out to me most was how genuinely the staff listened to students. Whenever an issue arose, there was always a willingness to understand, communicate, and do their best to offer support and solutions. I felt truly valued as a student. I am especially grateful for the guidance and encouragement I received when I believed I had missed my opportunity to apply to university. Thanks to the support of the team, I was able to move forward and achieve my goal of continuing my studies at university in the United Kingdom! Something that meant a great deal to me. I attended Foundation College from 2020 to 2022 during which time I studied A level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Greek language. The excellent teaching I received together with the learning resources offered by the college enabled me to achieve A,A,B,B grades and be accepted to study at my first choice of university. I graduated Brunel University, London with a first class degree in Physiotherapy in 2025.

Moving forward I intend to further my studies (Graduate Medicine) and continue to build upon the strong academic foundation I received as a student at the college.

I will always be grateful to Dr Valsamis and his teaching staff for their excellent knowledge, support and advice during lessons and for always making the learning process fun!

Foundation College provided me with a solid foundation that enabled me to gain acceptance to the University of South Wales and graduate as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
